TỪ HÒA-CICG side by side with Hoa Hao Loving Class
Human tears are unstoppable for thousands of illiterate internal migrant children in Ho Chi Minh City, who should have equal right to formal education and care taken by their parents or caregivers like others.

They have to come to Saigon with their parents living in poverty, who are forced to run away from their hometown with a hope that they will be able to have a better life in this economic city. However, it is not as simple as they have thought to be. So expensive is life in Saigon that more challenges have faced them, making their lives much more difficult and bitterer. Some have to leave their children in the rental rooms (cost a fortune for them) for work undertaken from early morning to late afternoon without any time left at all for looking after their kids. Worse, some have to let their children work as lottery ticket sellers, scavengers, street vendors (some acting as breadwinners) etc. These are recognized as two of the main reasons why a great number of migrant children do not go to formal school.
In order for these underprivileged children to have a chance to be educated, loved and cared for, many loving classes and schools have been established by many hearts of gold in community. Hòa Hảo loving class is a ‘must’ as a result of this noble purpose. This class has become a place of love where a thousand uneducated migrant children have depended on for the past decade.

It is no happier and more honorable for TỪ HÒA-CICG having been side by side for over seven years with such a loving class, which has survived in so difficult or threatening situations that it could hardly be shut down.
Happiness has reached such children, as not only have they been taught how to write, read and to do the four basic operations by dedicated teachers, but also they have been provided with daily nutritious vegetarian meals for free, cared for by the founders and voluntary teachers, and played with their classmates with joy, who are in the same boat.

Additionally, some of them have become professional hairdressers at monthly wages of 400 AUDs (7,000,000 VNDs) thanks to TỪ HÒA-CICG Taking Wing Program attached to l’Oréal’s very significant charity hairdresser-training project held in Saigon for people in need including our loving class teenagers.
Last but not least, Hòa Hảo loving class has also been a life-long learning center for illiterate adults for the past three years.

Thanks to your on-going financial support, the budget of 4900 AUDs (80 million VNDs) for this life-long learning model has been met this year (2019), making TỪ HÒA-CICG happy in supporting the founders and voluntary teachers on maintaining their loving class’ educational activities for the poor little souls.
I would like to take this chance to say ‘THANK YOU’ for your donation and generosity, which have really made a significant change.
Peace, Happiness and Compassion
With kindest regards and gratitude
